No further information may be released at this time.

Anyone with information that may contribute to the investigation are urged to contact the Listuguj Police Department at (418)788-2003 or (418)788-2334.  All sources of information are kept confidential.

At this time, we ask that the community limit their presence in the Tepgunset area so that officers can perform their tasks uninterrupted.  We thank you for your usual cooperation in these matters.

Listuguj Mi’gmaq Government Drainage of Caplin Road & Storm Water Detention Pond

As a result of the current construction activities and the number of construction crews on site, Caplin Road will be closed to thru traffic until further notice. However, residents and motorists/pedestrians going to and from the Alaqsite’w Gitpu School will continue to have access throughout the remainder of the construction project.

It is expected this will be in place until the construction activities conclude in mid-December. Road closure is essential to allow construction crews to complete work efficiently while maintaining the highest possible level of safety.

Signage will notify residents and motorists of any traffic changes. We ask that you remain conscientious of the heavy equipment/construction staff and that you keep an eye on younger children and pets to avoid any accidents.

The road closure to thru traffic is anticipated to begin on November 19, 2020 and be completed by mid December 2020. Working hours will be from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday.

We recognize that the planned work will be an inconvenience, and your patience during these upgrades is greatly appreciated.

If you have any questions concerning this subject, please feel free to contact us at the numbers below.

Sincerely,

Listuguj Mi’gmaq Government

Flu Shots Update

The Listuguj Community Health Services has started running the 2020 Flu Vaccination Program.  Due to COVID-19, we are operating this program by ‘appointment only’.  A large volume of community members has already called in to schedule an appointment.  We are very pleased that so many of us are taking this flu season seriously.

We are following the COVID-19 safety precautions built into our process to keep our clients and staff members safe.  We are counting on your patience and understanding as we move through the appointment schedules.

  • If you have already called in for an appointment, rest assured that you will be contacted directly to schedule a date and time.
  • If you have not yet called to have your name added to our vaccination list, please do so at (418) 788-2155.
  • And, most importantly, for those of you who have received an appointment, we ask that you please respect the schedule given to you out of consideration for your fellow community members.

Again, your Team at the Health Center is working hard to ensure that every Listuguj community member who wants a flu shot will get one in a safe and timely manner.
