There is a precautionary boil order in effect for Listuguj.
During a precautionary boil water advisory, all water destined for drinking, preparing infant formulas and juices, making ice cubes, washing fruits and vegetables, cooking, and dental hygiene must be held at a rolling boil for 1 minute. Adults, adolescents, and older
children may shower, bathe, or wash using tap water but should avoid swallowing the water. Toddlers and infants should be sponged bathed, and caregivers must ensure no water is drunk or
swallowed. Dishes and laundry may be washed in tap water by hand or machine.
This advisory is in effect until further notice

Along with the closing of LMG there will also be an event hosted by LCHS and LCSSD to celebrate National Truth and Reconciliation.
There will be a turkey dinner, door prizes, and more for all who come to the event.
It will be hosted on Sept.30th from 10am-2pm at the Listuguj Community Hall.

Listuguj Public works will be performing a leak detection test Wednesday September 17th between midnight and 5 am. There will be a brief period where the water will be shut off during that time.
There are 235 traps for the entire 2025 Fall Lobster Season. LMG will fish 60 traps and the remaining 175 traps will be shared equally amongst the registered fishers. Each fisher will receive 9 traps each. Community members can access 1 tag through a registered fisher. However, tags are limited.

On September 10, Loni Vicaire, General Manager of Economic Development, and Julianne Wysote, Economic Development Officer, attended the Annual General Assembly (AGA) of the First Nations of Quebec and Labrador Economic Development Commission (FNQLEDC).
We are pleased to announce that Loni Vicaire was newly elected to the Commission’s Board of Directors as Administrator of the Mi’gmaq Nation for a two-year term.
Congratulations to Loni and all newly elected representatives from the four Nations. Your leadership and commitment continue to support progress and opportunity for our communities.
Our Economic Development Unit looks forward to applying the knowledge and tools gained during the training and general assembly to continue to advance current and potential economic initiatives within the community.

The Listuguj Community Health Services are holding an event at the Health Center where you get screened for your Blood Pressure and Glucose levels.
There will be a continental breakfast and prizes to win.
It will be held on Sept.11 from 9am-12pm.
