Attention Community Members!
A message from Macy Metallic, 4-Pillars Project Coordinator
The 4-Pillars Team would like to thank the many members, including our high school students, who came out to the community engagement sessions held on November 17-19, 2025, and shared their important, very thoughtful and helpful views on our VISION for our Mi’gmaw language. They also shared their suggestions regarding the priority actions we should be taking to make Mi’gmaw our primary, normal, natural everyday language.
We met briefly Monday morning with some members of the Council to update them. This is a busy time of the year, so we will not be able to make the progress report to the full Chief and Council for another several days.
As soon Chief and Council have received it, they will issue their views and hopefully their commitment to pursue the very strong and sound thinking shared by the members on our Mi’gmaw language.
Wela’lioq to all,
Macy Metallic
4-Pillars Project Coordinator
