Listuguj Public works will be performing a leak detection test Wednesday September 17th between midnight and 5 am. There will be a brief period where the water will be shut off during that time.
There are 235 traps for the entire 2025 Fall Lobster Season. LMG will fish 60 traps and the remaining 175 traps will be shared equally amongst the registered fishers. Each fisher will receive 9 traps each. Community members can access 1 tag through a registered fisher. However, tags are limited.

On September 10, Loni Vicaire, General Manager of Economic Development, and Julianne Wysote, Economic Development Officer, attended the Annual General Assembly (AGA) of the First Nations of Quebec and Labrador Economic Development Commission (FNQLEDC).
We are pleased to announce that Loni Vicaire was newly elected to the Commission’s Board of Directors as Administrator of the Mi’gmaq Nation for a two-year term.
Congratulations to Loni and all newly elected representatives from the four Nations. Your leadership and commitment continue to support progress and opportunity for our communities.

LMG Chipping at the Listuguj Mi’gmaq Government is disposing of the Liebherr 924, 934 and LH50
wheeled material handlers.

The Listuguj Community Health Services are holding an event at the Health Center where you get screened for your Blood Pressure and Glucose levels.
There will be a continental breakfast and prizes to win.
It will be held on Sept.11 from 9am-12pm.

Community Announcement – 2025 Lobster Fall Fisheries (21B and 21B West)
The 2025 Lobster Food Fisheries will begin September 28, 2025 at 6:00am and end October 12, 2025 at 2:30pm. The effort allocated for 21B this season will be 235 traps for a total of 14 days. The LMG will fish 60 tags, and the remaining 175 tags will be divided amongst the Fishers for 21B. The effort allocated for 21B West this season will be 100 traps for a total of 14 days. Vessels and Fishers will only be eligible to participate in one of these fisheries. Vessels and Fishers must register with the Natural Resource Directorate (NRD). Community members who want tags can register at the NRD (21B only). Please see the attached Schedule.

Fishers and Vessels registration will open on August 28th, 2025 close on September 11th, 2025 at 4:30pm AST.
Tag Holder Registration will open on September 16th, 2025 and close on September 18th, 2025 at 5:00pm AST.

Community Tag Distribution Rules
If you wish to receive a tag, and have a fisher catch lobster for you, you must register in person at the natural resource building from Tuesday September 16th, 2025 to Thursday September 18th, 2025 during regular working hours (8:30am – 5:00pm).
Lobster Cooking and Distribution Rules
Cooking will occur each day of fishing. All lobster will be cooked at the Natural Resource garage building. Doors will open at 5pm on all days.
