Summary of Function:

This individual shall be responsible for the delivery of the educational and rehabilitation programs established in collaboration with the existing team at the Gignu Rehabilitation Center for the purpose of reintegrating the clients into society. He or she shall apply educational principles and techniques through everyday activities; coordinate and direct the Gignu’s scheduled program of activities in order to ensure the learning and acquisition of appropriate attitudes and behavior.

Summary of Function:

Job Duties:

Summary of Function:

Summary of Function:

The Listuguj Youth and Family Center are seeking to employ an energetic, self-motivated and responsible individual as an Intervention Support Worker. The Intervention Support Worker will work under the direct supervision of the Listuguj Youth and Family Center Program Coordinators. The Intervention Support Worker is responsible for providing one-on-one support to participants presenting with behavioral challenges as well as those on the spectrum who may require extra support. Verbal interventions and co-regulation will be used as a means of helping return participants to their baseline during periods of dysregulation and motivate them to continue engaging in the activities being presented in our programs, services and supports. The Intervention Support Worker will provide services within the directorate with additional support to help prevent as much as possible disruptions in programming as well as to enhance participants’ overall experience in our programs.

Job Duties:

· Be a positive role model and build meaningful relationships through positive daily interaction with the children and youth who attend various programming and implement appropriate intervention strategies when deemed necessary (i.e. Crisis intervention, problem-solving, conflict resolution, etc.)

· Individualized mentoring and supervision using various strategies and tools aimed at motivating and assisting participants presenting with special needs or behavioral challenges in engaging in daily planned activities (i.e. emotion regulation, behavior management, etc.)

· Facilitate participant learning individually and in small groups motivate participants regarding their academics (i.e. homework help)

· Communicate and collaborate with supervisors/managers to best serve participants who may present challenges

· Assist participants and their guardians requiring extra support in establishing routines, organizational skills

· Assist participants in identifying any barriers that may prevent them from engaging in planned activities

· Provide directions to participants and/or participants’ guardians to further seek support and/or resources as needed

· Collaborate and assist with the Professional Services in the planning, preparation and carrying out specific tasks identified.

· Maintain materials, supplies, programs and activities as per LMG policy.

· Meet as a team on a regular basis to update on a participant’s performance and to determine any solutions to help participants achieve success

Child Care Workers help to develop and promote healthy lifestyles and active living through sports, recreation, educational workshops, etc. The Child Care Worker will act as a role model by demonstrating healthy lifestyles, healthy eating, and physical activity. They are to provide guidance to the children and parents/guardians, support and help promote self-esteem, confidence, and leadership.

Job Duties:

Job Duties:

  • Patrol interior/ exterior of building to prevent and detect signs of damage that would compromise the security of windows and doors.
  • Patrol property to ensure the 8 exits are clear and secure.
  • Ensure Gignu van is secure.
  • Responsible for monitoring and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the clients.
  • Document youths hourly throughout the night or more often as needed.

  • Write reports of irregularities such as: equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
