Future Bridge Closures

Attention Community Members!

We have been advised that starting on May 25, 2026, various wind turbine components will be transported from New Brunswick to Quebec via the JC Van Horne Bridge.

According to the information provided by the carrier, the operation should last 10 to 12 weeks. There will be daily bridge crossings at around 4:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. AST. During crossings that are escorted by police, the bridge will be closed to traffic for a short time.

The entire operation, from the initial closure of the bridge to the complete reopening, should last a maximum of 15 minutes per event.
