Summary of Function:
The Families First Cultural Support Coordinator will assist all Home Support Workers
by coordinating the services provided to the community members requiring follow up
as determined by both intake and clinical supervision. The coordinator will implement,
develop, and coordinate service deliverables relating to life skills financial skills
development or parental concerns (but not limited to) as well as to maintain statistical
records and monitor the progress of clients. The coordinator will guide confidentiality
and consistency. The coordinator will, wherever possible develop workshops, assist in
public awareness campaigns and support the creation and evaluation of social
programs that are culturally relevant while adhering to the community-based approach.
Job Duties:
• Provide intervention and prevention services as identified by individual service
plans to prospective clientele.
• Provide the necessary cultural supports that will assist clientele in their path to
wellness. Identify and implement culturally appropriate community-based events
and activities that will meet the needs of clientele and community members.
• Research and reach out to traditional Elders and knowledge keepers to
incorporate their knowledge into safe and relevant programming for clientele and
community members. Adhere to the community-based approach and the
system clients and sorting options and develop plans of action that are primarily
client driven and centered while providing necessary support and assistance.
• Assist the clients in locating and utilizing existing community resources including:
legal, medical and financial assistance; housing, employment, transportation and
assistance with rules take care and other referral services as required.
• implement life skills workshops, substance abuse treatment programs, behavior
management programs, Youth Services programs and collaboration with various
community and social programs.
• maintain contact with other social service agencies and healthcare providers
multidisciplinary teams involved with clients to provide information and obtain
feedback on clients’ overall progress.
• coordinate the volunteer activities of human service agencies health care
facilities as well as cultural organizations.
• maintain program statistics for purposes of evaluation and research based on
interviews with clients prepared case histories and assessment of problems
identified.
• Develop & implement training, workshops for intervention and prevention
programs. Assist home support workers in delivering culturally relevant
community-based services. Evaluate the effectiveness of programs, workshops
and trainings offered with community agencies or partners, and identify additional
or alternative services and provide referrals.

Requirements:
• Minimum of two years’ experience in the area of Human Services program
delivery or use program diploma or related field of studies.
• Some case management or related work experience within the social services

unit group.

Summary of Function:

The Listuguj Youth and Family Center is seeking to employ an energetic, self-motivated and responsible individual as an Intervention Support Worker. The Intervention Support Worker will work under the direct supervision of the Listuguj Youth and Family Center Program Coordinators. The Intervention Support Worker is responsible for providing one-on-one support to participants presenting with behavioral challenges as well as those on the spectrum who may require extra support. Verbal interventions and co-regulation will be used as a means of helping return participants to their baseline during periods of dysregulation and motivate them to continue engaging in the activities being presented in our programs, services and supports. The Intervention Support Worker will provide services within the directorate with additional support to help prevent as much as possible disruptions in programming as well as to enhance participants’ overall experience in our programs.

Job Duties:

· Be a positive role model and build meaningful relationships through positive daily interaction with the children and youth who attend various programming and implement appropriate intervention strategies when deemed necessary (i.e. Crisis intervention, problem-solving, conflict resolution, etc.)

· Individualized mentoring and supervision using various strategies and tools aimed at motivating and assisting participants presenting with special needs or behavioral challenges in engaging in daily planned activities (i.e. emotion regulation, behavior management, etc.)

· Facilitate participant learning individually and in small groups, motivate participants regarding their academics (i.e. homework help)

· Communicate and collaborate with supervisors/managers to best serve participants who may present challenges

· Assist participants and their guardians requiring extra support in establishing routines, organizational skills

· Assist participants in identifying any barriers that may prevent them from engaging in planned activities

· Provide direction to participants and/or participants’ guardians to further seek support and/or resources as needed

· Collaborate and assist with the Professional Services in the planning, preparation and carrying out specific tasks identified.

· Maintain materials, supplies, programs and activities as per LMG policy.

· Meet as a team on a regular basis to update on a participant’s performance and to determine any solutions to help participants achieve success

· Gather relevant information through working with the participant or participants to provide feedback on the planning process

· Produce material and implement strategies to accommodate individual learning needs/styles

Solid Waste Community Engagement Coordinator

Organization Summary: Saskatchewan Aboriginal Land Technicians (SALT) is an
Indigenous led non-profit organization that provides space for First Nation land
technicians to circulate ideas and strategies relating to effective land management. A
key activity is supporting First Nations in managing their lands, inclusive of their customs
and traditions, while enhancing community prosperity and self-determination.
Position Summary: The Solid Waste Community Engagement Coordinator is a key
member of our Solid Waste Team, dedicated to empowering communities with
knowledge about waste systems. This role is responsible for developing and
strengthening community relationships, delivering educational programming, and
increasing awareness and participation in solid waste initiatives.
The ideal candidate is a dynamic communicator, passionate about environmental
stewardship, and experienced in community engagement and public education. They
will coordinate and support community-driven solutions to address solid waste
challenges, promoting best practices and providing training opportunities.

Key Goals and Objectives:
Engage and build relationships with landfill or transfer station staff, Lands and
Public Works staff, and community members.
Coordinate and deliver educational awareness sessions with a focus on diversion
practices and opportunities for a First Nation.
Collaborate with others to integrate environmental education into curricula.
Provide technical support, training, and professional development to a portfolio
of First Nations, including strategies to overcome challenges in solid waste
management.
Collaborate with the Waste Management, Recycling, and Public Education
Specialist on school visits.
Perform waste audits in communities to identify and establish options for
reduction, enhanced diversion and potential for cost savings and recovery.
Provide input for the annual public report on activities, challenges, issues, and
successes relating to all activities undertaken by the solid waste unit.
Attend conferences, workshops, and symposiums to promote the Solid Waste
Management Unit.
Assist with preparing an annual report that documents the process undertaken
with the communities, including photos, monthly updates, successes and
challenges, detailed summary of materials removed from the community,
education and capacity building needs and opportunities, and tangible waste
minimization results.
Look for opportunities to build partnerships with other communities and
organizations and address challenges in removing materials.
Participate in training, including informal (e.g., with Producer Responsibility

Skills, Experience, and Characteristics:
Knowledge of sustainable waste management systems, with an emphasis on
diversion options, in Saskatchewan.
Familiarity with First Nation governments, their function and structure.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to establish
credibility with varied stakeholders.
Ability to listen actively to and respect, consider, and incorporate the views of
others.
Ability to work alone effectively and as part of a team.

Heavy Equipment Operator-Log Loader

Summary of Function:

Reporting to Lead Hand, the Log Loader Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. The LLO is a vital part of the LMG Chipper operation team. The LLO is responsible for maintaining a steady flow of wood going to the debarker/chipper throughout the shift. The LLO is responsible for loading and unloading logs in a safe and efficient manner. The LLO be able to operate a heavy log loader and shall possess a practical knowledge of operating other heavy equipment which may include trucks, front-end loaders, dozers, and other pieces of equipment. The Heavy Equipment Operator must also clean, maintain and secure all equipment as directed by legislation, policies, and procedures.

Job Duties:
• Operate hydraulic pumps, safety valves, and any other necessary mechanical components.
• Ensures that the loader is in safe operating condition prior to the shift beginning (pre and post inspections to be performed).
• Responsible to load logs on their trailer then unload the logs into the de-barker for chipping. Logs are taken from either the wood yard piles or from log trucks (as required).
• Assists in changing the Chipper knives.
• Assists in removing and repairing chipper discs.
• Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations, and compliances.
• Communicate any unsafe conditions or accidents/injuries to the supervisor in a
timely manner, to facilitate prompt correction or reporting.
• Assist in the diagnosis and identification of defects in heavy-duty equipment.
• Clean, lubricate and perform other minor maintenance work.
• Complete all necessary paperwork. May include, but not limited to, vehicle inspection, hours of service, daily logs, inspection logs, delivery receipts.
• Other tasks as required.
• May be required to assist in the maintenance of machinery or equipment on short notice.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Must adhere to the policies, procedures, and regulations of the Listuguj Mi’gmaq
Government, LMG Chipping, AV CELL and all other partners were deemed necessary.

Requirements:
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.

Summary of Function:

· Lead the development of regulations, policies, terms of reference, and administrative structures for the LCCO in accordance with the Listuguj Cannabis Law.

· Present all regulatory and policy documentation to the LCCO for review and approval.

· Provide guidance to public relations partners and ensure all communications are aligned with the LMG messaging.

· Lead internal communications initiatives and foster collaboration across departments and teams.

· Advise the LCCO on emerging issues and trends within the cannabis sector.

· Research, draft, and finalize cannabis-related content for both internal and external audiences.

· Prepare reports, briefs, presentations, and administrative documents to support the work of the LCCO.

· Organize workshops, stakeholder meetings, and public information sessions.

· Establish and maintain strong relationships with local, regional, and national governments.

· Coordinate media outreach, including interviews and press conferences as required.

 

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in public administration, law, communications, policy development, or a related field.

The Mi’gmaq Cultural Coordinator will guide and support all aspects of cultural knowledge transfer and planning of activities within all provincial schools attended by Listuguj First Nation students. · Adhere to NB, QC Education guidelines and policies (NB District guidelines, NB Policy 701, NB Policy 703, NB Policy 311) and LMG policies and guidelines

· Guide and support the institutions with the delivery of culturally relevant activities within all provincial schools attended by Listuguj First Nation students;

· Connect with Elders and/or traditional resource people to conduct ceremonies appropriate to the geographic areas and customs;

· Support the planning of traditional dancing, singing, drumming, community and/or seasonal celebrations/feasts, fishing, hunting, beading, medicine gathering, basketry, cooking, traditional and social events;

· Coordinate extracurricular culture/social activities, youth knowledge exchange and mentorship activities;

· Create space and opportunities for traditional arts and crafts;

· Assist in the development, implementation, and facilitation of new and relevant cultural activities and traditions;

· Promote cultural competency and awareness;

· Create and maintain a trusted traditional knowledge resource directory;

· Create and maintain organizational cultural competency, safety and cultural sustainability within the academic year;

· Provide insight and support in the development of protocols and agreements with internal and external stakeholders as directed by Enhancement Manager

· Attend meetings, workshops, seminars, and conferences that relate to the Mi’gmaq Cultural Coordinator duties;

· Document the results and impact on students success and well-being

· Actively participate in meetings with Listuguj Enhancement team;

· Provide monthly reports to Enhancement Manager.

· Assist in the planning, development and facilitation of the student Career Fair

Requirements:

· Preferably Post-secondary education/or in relevant field or equivalent experience

· Understanding of Indigenous knowledge and experience in Indigenous traditional practices

· Intimate knowledge of Mi’gmaq culture and Listuguj history;

· Knowledge and skills acquired through teachings, work experiences, ceremonies and/or formal training;

· Able to work independently;

· Knowledge and understanding of Mi’gmaw students needs, concerns and issues;

· Must complete NB Policy 701;

· Must posses a valid driver’s license to deliver land base education and cultural programming to local area schools.

· Ability to pass a criminal background/Vulnerable Sector check.
