The community of Listuguj has been selected as one of the 5 sites for the Quebec Region. The Health Center will be hosting the consulting group hired by the AFN to conduct this review at our Bingo Hall on Tuesday, May 17th, 2016.
We invite all community members who have used these programs to come and share their experiences with these consultants. We’re all looking for answers to questions like:
“Why is there a limit on diabetic test strips?”
“Why do I have to wait 8 years before I can get new dentures?”
“Why is it such a problem getting braces for my kids?”
“How come my vitamins aren’t covered?”
“How come Medical Transportation can’t pick me up because I live in Campbellton, NB? I’m a community member!”
Our goal is to give them the Listuguj perspective on the problems we have with these service areas. Our hope is that they have a better understanding of the improvements needed for these services.
Come, join us on Tuesday, May 17th at the Listuguj Bingo Hall beginning at 9:00am to have your voice heard on the Non-Insured Health Benefits Program.
Prizes will be drawn, and refreshments will be served.
