Listuguj Food Bank Thursday, May 5th
Pleased be advised the next Listuguj Food Bank will take place on Thursday, May 5, 2022 for Elders and Friday, May 6, 2022 beginning at 10:00am for those families who are in need. 50 bags will be distributed each day and we encourage only those facing food insecurity to access this service

Healthy Breakfast Event
Healthy Breakfast is on May 11th at the Elder’s Lodge starting at 8:30am and until supplies last. &
Lunch and Learn is on May 25th at the Elder’s Lodge and topic TBD.

Community Kitchen Notice and Update
Please be advised that Chief and Council are currently aware of the concerns regarding the most recent announcement pertaining to the Community Kitchen.
The current policy and program for the Community Kitchen is being reviewed and revised. In the meantime, the next scheduled Community Kitchen will take place on Thursday, May 5, 2022. The Listuguj Mi’gmaq Government (LMG) must ensure members accessing the Community Kitchen are those families who are in need.
LMG would like to remind the community members that the Listuguj Mi’gmaq Government is committed to ensuring a safe working environment free of abuse for all its employees. Abusive behaviour will not be tolerated.
Over the course of five years, the Community Kitchen Coordinator has tirelessly, ensured food distribution was provided to the community of Listuguj. Chief and Council would like to commend the coordinator for her continuous efforts.
As the matters are being addressed and the process continues, we ask for the patience Community Kitchen clients.
We will continue to keep you informed of the Community Kitchen updates.

Rockslide Risk Along Route 132
An important road warning for community members and the surrounding area, please be aware of a rockslide risk on Route 132 West of Listuguj, Qc. A high risk area is around Route Legace, an interior road just off Route 132.

Listuguj Earth Day Event
On April 23rd, from 9:00 am to 4:30pm, Listuguj Environment will be holding a hazardous waste disposal event at the Public Works Garage. Anyone who brings household hazardous waste to the Public Works garage will have a chance to win one of the $100 gift card or a brand new bike. Temporary Power Outage in our Region
This is an important notice that a power outage has occurred in our region. According to the Director of Public Security, the issue is being addressed, and the expected return to power in our region will be approximately 8:45pm, tonight April, 14th, 2022. Water has been restored by Public Works to Listuguj. We will continue to further update our community as this power outage situation unfolds.
