Firstly, we express our gratitude to community members for your continued diligence and adherence to safety guidelines. With our confirmed case numbers decreasing over the past several weeks, we have come a long way, and we cannot thank our community members enough.

With the Halloween weekend ahead, we want to remind community members that Listuguj is still under a Health Alert level 2. While we have low infection rates, we continue to strongly urge community members to follow the safety guidelines.

• Monitor for symptoms;
• Stay home when sick;
• Wash hands frequently;
• Practice proper cough etiquette;
• Wear a mask when out in public;
• Practice social distancing
• Limit social gatherings

 

As an added precaution, the Listuguj Police Department have been made aware of the potential for large gatherings over the weekend and will be monitoring & will intervene if required.

 

We want to wish everyone a safe and happy Halloween weekend. Let’s continue to keep our community safe.

The total number of active cases is now 1. The total number of cases confirmed within the community since September 8, 2021, is 71.

Listuguj remains in Alert Level 2 (Yellow).

We ask that community members continue to follow public health guidelines (masks, handwashing, sanitizing & social distancing).

We will continue to provide weekday updates at 10 a.m. and weekend updates on the following Monday at 10 a.m.

We are kicking off our community engagement series for the Mi’gmaw Language Revitalization Plan!

Join Paige Isaac and Erika Gedeon Marchand at the Etlinpisulti’gw Healing Grounds on Thursday and Friday, October 28 and 29 from 11am-1pm.

The Listuguj Customary Election Code Virtual Re-engagement is happening Thursday, October 28 at 5:45 p.m.

 

Join the discussion and help us shape the content of the draft Listuguj Customary Election Code. The draft Customary Election Code is available on our website (https://listuguj.ca/listuguj-customary-election-code/). Community members are encouraged to read the code prior to joining; however, if you haven’t had the chance to read the code, we still encourage your participation, as we’ll be covering parts of the code throughout the session.
