COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics – Second Dose

Listuguj Community Health Services is pleased to inform our residents that, as planned, we will begin the 2nd dose vaccination clinics of the COVID-19 Moderna Vaccine on May 4th, 2021.

All individuals who received their COVID-19 Vaccine at the Listuguj Health Center will be contacted based on priority levels and the date in which they received their 1st dose.

Based on the number of vaccinations we have to administer, we anticipate that our 2nd dose vaccination clinics will be completed by the end of May.  Once again, you will be contacted directly by one of our staff members with the date and time of your scheduled appointment.

Easter Bag Distribution

The Avenir D’Enfants program through the Listuguj Community Health Services (LCHS) will have 100 Easter bags to distribute on a first come first serve basis.

Bags can be picked up at the community kitchen on Tuesday, March 30, starting at 10:00 am until supplies last. This is open for ALL community members with children – 1 bag per child.

Each bag contains a pack of chalk, bubbles, chocolate and some candy, as seen in the picture.

COVID-19 Vaccination Update

Since Quebec Public Health now recommends a maximum 16-week interval between doses of the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine, the Listuguj Community Health Center will continue to administer the FIRST dose to Community Residents.  You are encouraged to call the Health Center at (418) 788-2155 to add your name to the list for the FIRST dose.

We thank everyone for their involvement in this community vaccination process and ask that you continue to monitor the official LMG updates on when we will begin administering the SECOND dose, which we anticipate will happen sometime in May.  Thank you and remember to continue to follow all Public Health guidelines related to this Pandemic to protect yourself, your family, and your community.

For more details on the vaccine, please review the following info sheet.

Important Update from the Community Kitchen

Please note that the Community Kitchen will be implementing the following changes starting this week.

The community kitchen will now be open from 10 am – 12 pm for Elders aged 65 and up only and then from 1 pm – 4 pm for all other clients. This will allow for shorter wait times and decrease the traffic on food bank days.

In order to continue safely operating the community kitchen on a bi-weekly basis, the number of clients allowed in the waiting area is 10 people. Should you arrive at the community kitchen and the waiting area is full, please come back at a later time. With the cold weather, we do not want anyone waiting outside.

The community kitchen will be open on:

Thursday, February 25, 2021

10 am to noon – clients 65 and older only

1 pm to 4 pm – all other clients

Don’t forget to bring your own bags.
