Attention Community Members

The proposed Settlement Agreement and the handling of the settlement funds are very important matters for all of the members of Listuguj.

On Monday February 3, 2014 the Chief and Council made a decision to delay the ratification vote targeted for March 22, 2014 to allow more time for the members of the community of Listuguj to become more knowledgeable and more comfortable with the proposed Settlement Agreement and Trust Agreement and to provide time to consult with the members on how they would like to see the Trust designed (a copy of the OIC is attached).

Therefore, there will be an urgent public meeting taking place on Monday February 10, 2014 at the Listuguj Community Development Center (Bingo Hall) at 10 A.M. in which Chief and Council will present the OIC to the community and listen to your opinions and gain your feedback.

Everyone is encouraged to attend and all LMG buildings will be shut down for the two hour community meeting with the exception of essential services. All LMG staff will be required to attend and we encourage all community members to attend as well.

We hope to see you all there, because your input is crucial.
