BACKGROUND/INTRODUCTION
Listuguj is located in Gespe’gewa’gi (“The Last Land”), the seventh and largest district of Mi’gma’gi. Gespe’gewa’gi has been Mi’gmaq and Listugujewaq traditional territory since time immemorial. It includes what is now known as the Gaspé Peninsula, parts of mainland Québec and Maine, and northeastern New Brunswick. Listuguj is comprised of 4,058 members; 2,108 members living on reserve and 1,950 members living off reserve.

PURPOSE
The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) from the Listuguj Mi’gmaq Government is to solicit proposals from individuals for the provisions of a Customary Election Code Coordinator for the Listuguj Mi’gmaq Government to engage in the adoption of a customary election law.

Your completed proposal is to be sent to Jill Martin, Office of Chief and Council via email at jill.martin@listuguj.ca or mail 17 Riverside West, Listuguj, Quebec, G0C 2R0. Subject line should reference the RFP number RFP LMG 001.

Male Mentor

Summary of Function:     

The Male Mentor under the direction of the school principal is responsible for implementing behavior modification programs for students who are having difficulties adhering to classroom and school schedules/routines. He will also be responsible for assisting students in understanding the school expectations, developing self-discipline, and improving self-concept. The incumbent will participate in student leadership programs for students. The Male Mentor will work, as needed, with the parents of students with behavior difficulties to assist them with developing successful skills and interventions, and behavior management tools.

Job Duties:

  • Implement behavior modification programs for students who are having difficulties adhering to classroom and school schedules/routines.
  • Assist students in understanding the school expectations, developing self-discipline, and improving self-concept.
  • Participate in student leadership programs for students.
  • Provide individual mentoring with student(s).
  • Work, as needed, with the parents of students with behavior difficulties to assist them with developing successful skills and interventions, and behavior management tools.
  • Deliver life skill programs with students
  • Provide academic assistance to students
  • Write reports on student progress

Qualifications:

  • Education and /or Experience:  2 years post-secondary, and 3 years’ experience in a related field.
    Thorough knowledge of the Alaqsite’w Gitpu School (students and staff)

Packaging Supervisor

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Packaging Supervisor works under the direction of the Head of Manufacturing.  Their role is to implement operations strategies and objectives to ensure achievement of company goals and on time completion of production/packaging schedule within quality and gross margin standards while maintaining a consistent, high-quality medical cannabis line fully consistent with Standard Operating Procedures.

 

Core Competencies

  • Knowledge Health Canada’s ACMPR
  • Must have leadership skills and ability to supervise a packaging line
  • General understanding about the operational controls and inventory movement of controlled substances.
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge and compliance with GPP, GMP and GLP.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise packaging line workers daily.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves packaging problems in a timely manner.
  • Manages multiple time sensitive projects while maintaining a fast-paced assembly line.
  • Keeps accurate inventory counts within the packaging room.
  • Ensure all SOP’s and proper inventory management practices are being followed.
  • Report all non-conformities to Supervisor.
  • Schedule all production and packaging activities to ensure a smooth work flow.
  • Assist in fulfillment and shipping during peak periods.
  • Assist in meeting company goals in relation to safety, quality and on-time delivery of products
  • Communicate, motivate, coach and teach employees.
  • Check work of employees to ensure quality of packaging.
  • Flexibility to assume other jobs when work schedule necessitates movement of staff to other positions.

Qualifications

  • College degree or experience in assembly/manufacturing
  • Some leadership background managing employees
  • Must be able to safely and carefully operate and use assigned equipment and machinery.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new things
  • Computer skills/knowledge of MS Office
  • Experience with inventory control systems (an asset)

Working Hours

Hours can be between 7:00 Am and 7:00 PM – 4 days on/4 days off. Weekend and evening work or on-call work will be required in this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager the Occupational Health and Safety Supervisor is responsible for coordinating, planning, administration, training and enforcement of facility’s safety and health program and all training for new employees for various departments, to ensure compliance with all company policies and local, provincial and federal regulations.   The Occupational H&S Supervisor identifies hazards and assesses risk to health and safety involving individuals to identify the appropriate safety controls and providing advice on accident prevention and occupational health to management and employees.  Provides direction, support and training to develop and implement initiatives and maintain a robust safety program.

 

Core Competencies

  • Knowledge of NB Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Knowledge of Health and safety training and development programs for employees.
  • Excellent professionalism and leadership abilities is required.
  • Ability to train employees in processes of the facility.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Contributes to the creation of and/or maintenance of Instructional Documents such as SOP’s, work procedures and training documents.
  • Promotes occupational health and safety awareness throughout assigned facility.
  • Conducts ongoing safety inspections of facilities, operations and equipment to ensure compliance and safe working environment. Monitors and enforces applicable provincial safety regulations.
  • Develops and administers site training plans.
  • Coordinates, develops and/or conducts safety training sessions for management, supervisors and employees on health and safety practices and legislation including new hire orientations.
  • Implements, maintains and updates internal safety programs and procedures in conjunction with company, customer and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Acts as site liaison related to government inspections concerning safety, environmental or ergonomic issues. Facilitates incident investigations, root cause analysis and closure of corrective actions.
  • Analyzes routine job tasks for hazards and identifies safer ways of working. Assists Human Resources with return of employees after accidents or injuries.
  • Leads Behavior-Based Safety program on-site through regularly scheduled observations of facility.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma.
  • Post-Secondary training in Health and Safety or related field OR equivalent experience in a Health & safety position.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety legislation and industry safety standards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as presentation skills.
  • Must be able to follow detailed instructions.

Position Summary

Zenabis is looking for a passionate and professional individual to fill the role of Analytical Chemist.  The Analytical Chemist will work with other scientists and staff to provide analytical support for our cannabis extraction lab, located in Atholville, NB.  The analytical chemist will be involved in the development, optimization, and validation of analytical methods to characterize raw and processed cannabis materials.

 

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all activities are carried out as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Intake and process a variety of cannabis samples for GC or UHPLC analysis.
  • Perform routine cannabinoid, terpene, and residual solvent analysis on cannabis samples.
  • Process, analyze, and report data to other scientists.
  • Prepare and maintain quality and availability of routine reagents and analytical standards.
  • Coordinate maintenance and calibration of analytical instrumentation.
  • Have a collaborative attitude and work closely with others.
  • Keep detailed and precise records.
  • Conduct regular cleaning and general maintenance of lab equipment and spaces.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education with a minimum of a M.Sc. in chemistry or another relevant scientific discipline, or B.Sc. and 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Prior experience operating, maintaining and troubleshooting GCMS and UHPLC analytical instruments.
  • Prior experience working in an analytical laboratory setting
  • Knowledge of GDocP, GPP, GMP, and GLP is an asset.
  • Demonstrated communication and organizational
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Must be able to follow SOPs.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel.
  • Must be able to carry out repetitive tasks at a continuously high level of quality.

  • Familiarity with Thermo Chromeleon and/or any LIMS software is an asset.
  • Prior analytical experience in agricultural, food, and/or pharmaceutical industries is an asset.

Reporting to the Chief and Council, the Senior Director is responsible to ensure the effective functioning of the management and administrative processes essential to the achievement of the mandates and strategic direction of the Listuguj Mi’gmaq Government. The Senior Director is responsible for the development of HR and Administrative policies and procedures, to support and guide the HR Manager and the Directors in their strategic planning initiatives.

 

The Senior Director will be responsible to identify means and ways to improve the LMG’s already existing processes, to develop new ones when necessary and to mobilize and maximize personnel skills and knowledge. The Senior Director is also responsible to implement organizational policies and programs; establish financial and administrative controls.

 

The Senior Director will also promote and ensure effective and efficient communication at all levels of the organization while facilitating council transparency

 

Position Requirements:

  • Education: Graduate (Master’s) degree in Public Administration or a related field required; Bachelor’s Degree in Administration could be considered.
  • Experience: Minimum of five (5) years previous experience working with First Nation’s organizations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of federal and provincial government policies and programs related to First Nation’s governments and organizations would be an asset.
  • Knowledge and appreciation of the Mi’gmaq culture, language, values and political objectives of the Mi’gmaq communities.
