Skills Link Youth Employment and Training Program 2023-2024

The First Nations Education Council is seeking community registrations for the Indigenous Services Canada Skills Link ICT Youth Employment Initiative. The program is designed to give unemployed youth between the ages of 18 to 30 the opportunity to obtain relevant work experience and training in the field of Information, Communications, and Technologies (ICT) for an employment term of twenty (20) weeks. There are a total of 12 Youth employment opportunities available. All wages and employment benefits, including training and daycare support, are refunded through the program (some conditions apply).

Request for LMCP Advisory Committee Members
It’s time to update and revise our Listuguj Mi’gmaq Community Plan (LMCP)! The Comprehensive Community Planning (CCP) team is looking for community members to join the LMCP Advisory Committee.
For anyone interested in community-lead governance, meaningful engagement, and the future development of Listuguj, thisopportunity is for YOU!
We encourage representation from all demographics – Elders, youth, knowledge keepers, traditional practitioners, and professionals from various fields. On-Reserve and Off-Reserve community members welcomed.
Short term commitment – Monthly team meetings (in-person and Zoom) for the next 6-8 months. Honorariums for participation!
