Meat Distribution – Social Services

There will be a meat distribution at Social Services (2 Gef St.) on Monday, June 10th 2024. Elders can pick two meats of their choice from 1PM to 2PM, and community members can pick up from 2PM until 4PM.
There will be hamburger, pork, fish, and chicken available.

Spring Cleaning Bags Distribution

Spring Cleaning bags will be given to registered community members on low-income assistance on Friday, May 31, 2024, starting at 10AM while supplies last. Pickup at Social Services at 2 Gef St.
Spring cleaning bags consist of floor cleaner, window cleaner, toilet paper, dish soap, laundry detergent, and more.

Gelo’tmnej ‘Gtli’suti’minu Adult Mi’gmaq Immersion

The newly revised Gelo’tmnej ‘Gtli’suti’minu Adult Mi’gmaq Immersion program is now open for registrations. Applications and pre-assessments can be picked up at the LMDC. For a digital copy, please email lmdc.reception@lete.listuguj.ca. The registration deadline is Thursday, June 20th.

10 seats for Years 2 & 3 (combined class)

Head Start Applications 2024

Head Start applications can be picked up at 6B Pacific Drive on weekdays between 9AM to 4PM.
The new session will begin on September 9th!

Listuguj Police Department – April Statistics

Each month, the Listuguj Police Department (LPD) will disclose monthly statistics regarding police activity in the community.
These statistics will be arranged into two categories: Criminal Offences and Non-Criminal Events. This report is intended to maximize transparency and accountability within the LPD and to raise awareness of police activity in Listuguj.
In April, the LPD received an average of 6 calls daily and responded to 174 incidents.
The Listuguj Mi’gmaq Government expresses its gratitude and appreciation to the LPD for their continuous efforts and dedication to the safety of our community.

Fisheries Advisory Committee – Call For Applications

The Natural Resources Directorate (NRD) is looking for community members to join the Fisheries Advisory Committee to advise NRD on Listuguj fishery objectives and bring in community insight, teachings, and expertise to help guide the sustainable management of fisheries for future generations.

 

 

Medical Transportation – Hours of Operation

There has been a change of operating hours for Medical Transportation in the community starting today (May 1st.)
The new operating hours are Monday to Friday 8:30 AM to Noon, and 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM New Brunswick time.
