The Mi’gmaw Language Revitalization Program is inviting you to take this survey to help develop programs that interest you, our community members. All answers will remain confidential but will be used to help build programs, and generate activities that promote the revitalization of the Mi’gmaw Language. Applications for Mi’gmaw Mentor Apprentice Program are now being accepted. Potential participants are invited to submit their applications together as a pair. Apprentice applicants will be contacted for interviews as part of the application process.
MMAP is a way of learning a language where a fluent Mi’gmaw speaker (a Mentor) teaches a Mi’gmaw language learner (an Apprentice) through immersion. The goal of the program is to have Apprentices increase their ability to understand and speak Mi’gmaw over the course of 250 hours. The program is open to learners of all levels.
