LMCP Spotlight Winner for December 2020

Victoria LaBillois, December LMCP Spotlight Winner

Congratulations Victoria LaBillois – December 2020 Spotlight Winner!

Victoria was nominated for being an award-winning woman! Her dedication to her community, family, and her aspirations for inspiring Indigenous entrepreneurs has earned her many accolades, most recently “Top 100 Most Powerful Women” by Women’s Executive Network in November 2019 and 2020. She supports native women from coast to coast, and especially here in Listuguj. She regularly challenges those around her to seize the day and take the leap into entrepreneurship.
Two of her favourite quotes show how she advocates for the strengths of others and inspires them to be better:

“Step into your power. When you walk into a room, own that room. When you walk up to a podium, own that podium”.

“When the going gets tough, the tough put on lipstick”.

Reminder that I am continuously accepting nominations for the Listuguj Mi’gmaq Community Plan (LMCP) monthly Spotlight. If you know or see anyone making a difference and implementing our 4 actions areas, I encourage you to nominate them and let them be recognized!

The LMCP 4 Action Areas are:

1) Healthy Community

2) Environmental and Natural Resource Stewardship

3) Entrepreneurship and Employment

4) Mi’gmaq Laws and Governance

Forms can be downloaded here and emailed to Felicia.mitchell@listuguj.ca or dropped off at the Band Office.
