Update from Social Assistance

To all Social Assistance Recipients:

Please be advised that for this month only the Social Assistance checks for April will be deposited into your account on Wednesday, March 25, 2020, along with an emergency fund of $175.00 for single person and $250.00 for anyone with children (family) that was issued by Indigenous Service Canada (Indian Affairs).  This is not considered an increase on your basic allowance. It is an emergency allowance for only this month.  Also, for those who have rent being deducted from your Social Assistance, it has been removed.
