NO SWIMMING AT INDIAN LAKE OR SIPUG UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

The Listuguj Community Health Services, in partnership with Environment Canada conducts weekly water testing in our territory.

Test results of the water at Qospem “Indian Lake” and Sipug show unacceptable levels of Ecoli contamination. This is attributed to the high volume of rain and increased wildlife in the area.
The community of Listuguj is advised not to swim in the water until further notice.

As of today, they continue to test, and there is no change. We will continue to test the water and advise when it is once again safe to swim.
