LMG Closure Extended

On April 6, 2020, the Listuguj Chief and Council declared a State of Emergency for the Listuguj Mi’gmaq Government (LMG). This activated additional support for our government to implement the Emergency Response Plan, including the creation of the unified command. The unified command comprises subject experts with high-level executive management experience. They have been mandated by Council to lead the LMG Emergency Measures Organization (EMO).

It has now been decided that the closure of the LMG will continue for an additional two weeks until Tuesday, April 28, 2020.

We are asking for community members, residents, and LMG employees to continue practicing social distancing to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Please stay home as much as possible as this is the safest way to protect yourself, your family and the community.
