Important Community Notice

Important Community Notice

The Post Office would like to remind the community of the importance of having the correct address on all your mail. There are changes coming in the next couple of months that may affect the delivery of your incoming mail if your address is wrong or incomplete.

We will be undergoing renovations to add enough boxes so that every household or business will have their own box.
Our sorting will no longer go by name or PO Box number, but ADDRESS ONLY.

When fixing your address, please DO NOT put your box number on it. Everyone will receive a new box that will be attached to your civic address. If you have mail that is stamped “update your address” please make sure you do so in a timely manner.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact the Post Office for more information.

Call for Vigilance

Attention Community Members!
Public Health Direction for the Gaspé Peninsula and Magdalen Islands is urging drug users, regardless of their method of consumption ( Ingestion, Injection, Inhalation, Or Other) to be cautious and encourages clinicians and interveners to increase overdose prevention interventions.
A significant number of reports of non-fatal overdoses have been observed in the Montreal area in recent days, linked to suspected fentanyl use.
The sharp rise in overdoses coincides with the detection of carfentanil in several samples suspected to be fentanyl in the form of “rocks” of various colors.
Listuguj Community Health Services has Naloxone take-home kits available for pickup to community members. For more information, stop by the Health Centre at 6 Pacific Dr., or call 418-788-2155.
