Why Should You Participate in the Public Inquiry?

The Public Inquiry Commission on relations between Indigenous Peoples and certain public services in Québec will be in the community on Wednesday, June 6th, to host a community meeting at the Elders Lodge from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

They need our input to create an inquiry for Listuguj.  Come take part in this important meeting on June 6th!

Economic Development Unit Calling out to Small Businesses

The Economic Development Unit is looking to update their business registry which will in turn be used for “shop local” promotion on the LMG website. Contact information may be used for invites to future workshops or events tailored to entrepreneurs.

Armed Robbery in Listuguj

Public Service Announcement:

On the evening of May 22nd, 2018, the Listuguj Police were dispatched to an armed robbery call at Mitchell’s convenience store. One male suspect was identified and later apprehended by police in the Campbellton area. This individual is currently in Police custody and waiting for a court appearance where he will appear before a judge facing several criminal charges stemming from this incident.

The Listuguj Police Department would like to remind the public to report any suspicious activities by contacting the emergency telephone number 418 788 2003. All matters reported will be investigated accordingly to ensure the safety of our community.
