Summary of Function:
Under the direction of the Capital and Infrastructure Directorate, the Housing Repairs Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and administering the LMG Housing Repairs Program. The Housing Repairs Coordinator works with tenants/homeowners, contractors, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure housing repair requests are assessed, prioritized, documented, and completed in accordance with LMG policies, procedures, program guidelines, and available funding.
The position is responsible for maintaining accurate housing repair records, coordinating repair activities, monitoring project progress and expenditures, assisting with funding applications and reports, and ensuring that repairs are completed in a timely and appropriate manner.
Job Duties:
- Coordinate and administer the LMG Housing Repairs Program in accordance with established policies, procedures, and program guidelines.
- Receive and maintain housing applications.
- Organize, coordinate, and facilitate community workshops, information sessions, conferences, and housing-related events.
- Attend housing meetings, community meetings and regional housing forums to represent the housing department and share relevant information.
- Provide regular updates to community members regarding housing initiatives and decision-making processes.
- Receive, review, and track housing repair requests and determine appropriate follow-up and priority.
- Coordinate housing inspections and assessments to identify required repairs and maintenance.
- Coordinate with contractors, tradespeople, suppliers, tenants/homeowners, and other stakeholders regarding repair requirements, scheduling, and completion.
- Obtain and review estimates, quotes, invoices, and other documentation related to housing repairs.
- Monitor repair projects to ensure work is progressing as required and within approved budgets and timelines.
- Track expenses for Community, Elders, and Emergency Repairs programs and maintain accurate financial records.
- Assist with the preparation and submission of funding applications related to housing repair programs.
- Assist with the preparation of financial, program, and funding reports as required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of housing repair requests, inspections, estimates, approvals, work completed, invoices, and related correspondence.
- Create and maintain digital and physical filing systems for housing repair documentation.
- Monitor outstanding repair requests and follow up with contractors and clients to ensure timely completion.
- Review completed repair work and identify outstanding deficiencies or required follow-up.
- Ensure all housing repair activities are properly documented and authorized in accordance with LMG procedures.

Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Construction Management, Housing, Project Management, or a related field is an asset.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in housing administration, construction, property maintenance, project coordination, or a related field is an asset.
- Experience with housing programs, First Nation housing, or government-funded repair programs is an asset.
- Must possess a Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation is an asset due to the field-based nature of the position.
