TD Scholarship for Indigenous Peoples

The TD Scholarship for Indigenous Peoples, is a new scholarship program tailored specifically for students from the Indigenous community.
Working closely with AFOA Canada, the TD Scholarship for Indigenous Peoples was designed to support students from the Indigenous community as they continue their journey pursuing their education and career goals. The scholarship will support by alleviating financial concerns so students can focus on their studies and gain valuable work experience through an internship with TD.
At TD, we recognize there is more work to be done on our collective journey towards Truth and Reconciliation. Supporting community initiatives that promote continued education, career development, and foster a sense of belonging is important. We believe society is stronger when we work together, and we can help be a catalyst for dialogue to bring people, communities, and cultures together.

Scholarships are available for First Nations, Métis, and Inuit who are members / citizens of a First Nations, Métis or Inuit community. You must be a permanent resident of Canada and have applied for or are currently enrolled in a full-time, minimum 2-year program with an eligible post-secondary institution in Canada. Applications will open starting on Friday, November 18, 2022, at 4:30pm ET, and ending on January 16, 2023, at 5:00pm ET.

Land Claim Per Capita Distribution Application

Have you recently turned 18 years of age?

The Listuguj Mi’gmaq Government wishes to inform Listuguj youth who turn 18 years of age to make an application for their land claim Per Capita Distribution. Listuguj youth who have turned 18, have up to 5 years following their 18th birthday to make their application. Failure to come forward by the 5 year deadline will result in the monies being forfeited.

For example:

If you turned 18 on May 6, 2017, you have until May 5, 2022 to apply.

If you turned 18 on January 6, 2021, you have until January 5, 2026 to apply.

Note: Your name must appear on the qualifying band membership list made on April 29, 2015.
