Public health direction for the Gaspé Peninsula and magdalen Islands are urging drug users to be cautious of dangerous substances circulating.
Counterfeit tablets containing etizolam, a benzodiazepine not marketed in Canada, have been detected on the illicit market in the Montreal area. The tablets are rectangular, pink, and marked with the inscription “PEZ.”. The tablets pose a risk of overdose and look similar to PEZ candies, which are popular with children.
