Salary: $65,320.00 to $100,052.66 Commenced with experience
Accountable to: Head Nurse, Waqatasg Elders Care Facility

Summary of Function:
The Registered Nurse works to promote an integrated, holistic health service that is responsive to the needs of the clients and provides primary Health Care Services. Works directly with the staff of the Waqatasg Elder’s Care Facility in implementing the operational plan to meet the goals and objectives, and Vision and Mission of the Nursing Program(s) for both Waqatasg and LCHS.
Job Duties:
- Participate in the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of individual client care plans.
- Must be willing to do shift work.
- Participate in daily exchange / log of information regarding all clients of the facility.
- Participates in case conferences, Waqatasg Staff Meetings, and meetings relating specifically to the Nursing Program
- Aid the Nursing team with the execution of the program activities / requirements.
- Adhere to reporting schedule for month end & annual data reports to the Head Nurse

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from a Canadian University or equivalent.
- Current Certification of Competence from College of Nurses of Quebec.
- A License in good standing from the Ordre des Infirmiers-Infirmieres du Quebec (OIIQ).
- Current CPR Certificate, or willing to take training.
- Knowledge of the Mi’gmaq Language and Culture is an asset.
- Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Provide clean bill of Health.
