Drop by the Elders Lodge on October 8 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. to check your eligibility and schedule your mammogram appointment.
Women ages 50–74 who have not had a mammogram in two years are generally eligible, but some exceptions apply. If you’re unsure, stop in and we’ll help!

Attention Social Assistance Clients.
The Social Assistance office will now be closed on Wednesday, September 30th, and Thursday, October 1st in alignment with LMG’s holiday changes.
The Social Assistance office will reopen on October 2nd.
Clients can expect the normal deposit date on Thursday, October 1st.
We encourage you to submit your monthly declaration card by September 28th, to avoid delay of your payment.

Wela’lioq to everyone who participated in our 4-Pillars Society Community Engagement Sessions held from June 8-10, 2026, focused on the Heritage Pillar.
We are pleased to share our Heritage Summary Report, which captures the valuable perspectives, ideas, and feedback shared by community members throughout the engagement sessions.
A heartfelt thank you to our Four Pillars Preliminary Committee, caterers, facilitators, and support staff whose dedication and hard work helped make these sessions a success. Your contributions are sincerely appreciated.
As we continue this important work, we invite you to stay connected. Our final round of Community Engagement Sessions will take place October 13-15, 2026, and will focus on the Wellness Pillar.

Registration is now open for this year’s Mi’gmaq Youth Leadership Connections Program!
Those aged 11-17 years old are invited to join in on an amazing opportunity to learn positive life skills that they will carry out into adulthood.
Following is some things your children can expect to take part in during the program’s length:
-Numerous Workshops
-Outdoor Activites
-Problem Solving & Time Management Training
Most activities will be held after school with a rare exception on the weekends.
