Weekend COVID-19 Update – January 2-3, 2021
The Listuguj Mi’gmaq Government (LMG) would like to provide a COVID-19 update for this weekend. The LMG is confirming 2 new cases of COVID-19 for Saturday, January 2nd, and 0 new cases for Sunday, January 3rd, bringing the total of active cases in our community to 13.
These new cases were detected as a result of last week’s extensive testing. Thank you to everyone who went to the CLSC in Pointe-à-la-Croix to get tested. Your efforts to keep our community safe do not go unnoticed. Once again, please respect the privacy of the families impacted and of those seeking testing.
COVID testing is still available for Listuguj residents, without an appointment, from Monday to Friday from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (NB Time). CLSC requires that you limit one person per vehicle for drive-ins. Alternatively, you can make a COVID Testing appointment by calling 1 (877) 644-4545.
Please continue to wear a mask in public, avoid gatherings, practice social distancing, wash your hands regularly, and clean frequently touched surfaces in your home. If you have travelled from a ‘Red Zone’, you are required to self-isolate upon entry. Listuguj residents traveling to a ‘Red Zone’ for a day trip for essential purposes (i.e. work, school, medical appointments, custody arrangements, and necessities of life) are not required to self-isolate but must follow health and safety measures listed on our website.
