Updated Checkpoint Announcement

As of Monday, June 15, 2020, at 3:00 p.m., there are a total of 28 confirmed active cases of COVID-19 within the Campbellton Region. The LMG has reason to believe that there are additional presumptive cases yet to be confirmed. The Unified Command and Chief and Council, will continue to monitor the situation and will proceed with reinstating the checkpoints until more information is available.

Until Monday, June 22, 2020, at 9:00 a.m., strict measures will be imposed to limit access to Listuguj. At this time the ONLY authorized persons to enter Listuguj are:

– Registered Band Members;

– Listuguj Residents;

– LMG Essential Service Personnel;

– Mail Delivery Services (e.g., Purolator, FedEx, Livre Tout, etc.);

– Food and Beverage Distributors;

– Convenience Store Suppliers (e.g. Newspaper deliveries, ATM services, etc.); and

– Emergency Vehicles.

At this time, businesses, including landscaping, general contractors, sub-contractors, and non-resident employees from privately held businesses on-reserve, will not be permitted entry.

If you require immediate emergency repairs (e.g. repairs to amenities such as plumbing or electrical or emergency construction), we encourage you to find a contractor from Listuguj or low-risk areas in Quebec.

These measures will be reassessed by the Unified Command and Chief and Council before Monday, June 22, 2020.
