Public Awareness Campaign and Protest Traffic Slow Down on the Van Horne Bridge and Closure of the 132

At a Listuguj public meeting held on December 18th 2012, Chief Vicaire along with the guidance of attending community members firmly stated that the Listuguj Mi’gmaq Government will not accept the radical changes that the Canadian government seeks to impose.

Therefore the Highway 132 will be completely blocked on Friday December 21st, 2012 at 8:00am Atlantic Time Until Saturday December 22nd, 2012 at 8:00am Atlantic Time; also there will be a traffic slowdown at the same time which will be located at the intersection of the Van Horne Bridge entering Quebec.

This slowdown of traffic is to raise awareness and protest the Federal Governments changes to our relationship nation to nation and legislation including but not limited to Bill C-38 and Bill C-45. This legislation will impact all aspects of how we live our lives.
