Natural Resource Directorate Asset Sale – Bidding Process

The Natural Resource Directorate (NRD) has designated the John Peter vessel, motor, and trailer as surplus assets. Therefore, the NRD will move forward with a bidding process to the public. The boat, motor, and trailer will be sold as a package; and no offers will be accepted for individual items. Any costs related to moving the asset will be the responsibility of the successful bidder.

The vessel could be viewed at 44 Dundee Rd, Listuguj, QC, G0C2R0 during regular business hours.

Bidding Process:

The bidding process will last for a period of 10 LMG business days, starting on August 1st, 2022 and ending on August 12th, 2022 at 4:30pm AST.  Interested individuals can submit a bid by completing the online form below.

After the bidding process has closed, the NRD will contact the highest bidder to begin the financial transaction and transfer of ownership. Please note, if LMG fails to receive payment on the agreed payment schedule, the next highest bidder will be contacted until the asset is sold.

Item Description:

The bidding package will include the John Peter In-shore fishing vessel, motor, and trailer. The package will be sold as is. Transportation of the package and related repair requirements will be the responsibility of the successful bidder.

Fishing Vessel Description	Vessel: John Peter Owner: Listuguj Mi’gmaq Government ID #: 175825 / CO19101QC Type: lobster boat Homeport: Quebec Year of construction: 1996 Length overall (ft): 27 Width (ft): 9 Gross tonnage: 15 Hull: Fiber Glass Condition: Hull temporary repaired in 2019. Hull may require work. Electronics and hydraulic systems status unknown. The hydraulics system will require a motor on-board.
Motor Description:	Motor: Honda 130 HP, four stroke, outboard Year: 2006 Condition: Unknown. Last operation in 2019. Engine was properly stored.
Trailer Description	Make: Venture Model: Galvanized VBT-10800 Year Purchased: 2011 Condition: Hydraulic brakes required repair. Estimated repair costs $2,000.
