Summary of Function:

Under the authority of the office of Chief and Council, the Beautification Coordinator will be responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of workers engaged in, but not limited to, cleaning and maintenance of the LMG buildings and grounds. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Job Duties:

  • Inspects work areas to determine the type of work required and materials and equipment to be used.
  • Carry out assignments designated by the office of chief and council.
  • Studies schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
  • Ensure that workers abide by LMG policies and enforce safety regulations.
  • Distribute job orders to workers and assign duties.
  • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet project schedules.
  • Drive trucks or other vehicles to or at work.
  • Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of the project.
  • Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
  • Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
  • Maintains time and production records, work orders.
  • Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities within the program or including other department supervisors.
  • Indoor/Outdoor painting.
  • Perform all other duties as requested.

Requirements:

  • Ability to delegate, set expectations, and monitor progress of all direct reports
  • Experience with budget preparation and management
  • Ability to identify issues and implement creative and strategic solutions to overcome problems.
  • Strong formal and informal leadership skills
  • Ability to initiate and model positive change.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle.
