DESCRIPTION:The Listuguj Fisheries Department will be presenting updates on the current stock status of salmon on the Restigouche watershed\, new DFO approaches\, and other department updates. \nA special guest presentation will be hosted by Dr. Alistair Bath. Dr. Bath is a world expert in Human Dimensions of wildlife management. He teaches and deals with natural resource management issues\, parks and protected areas planning\, conflict resolution and public involvement\, usually in the context of wildlife and large carnivore issues. \nFollowing his presentation\, a breakout session will be held with the community\, where they can engage with Listuguj Fisheries and Gespe’gewaq Mi’gmaq Resource Council (GMRC) staff on salmon management in the community. \nA supper will be served after the event\, catered by Twist of Heaven!
