DESCRIPTION:The Listuguj Mi’gmaq Government is partnering with the 6th Annual RIG Race – a unique adventure and orientation race to be held from September 12 – 15\, 2019. \nIn teams of two\, athletes must race over 150 km or 300 km in 3 days\, alternating several sports such as running\, mountain biking\, canoeing\, swimming and rope challenges.  There will also be a 20 km race specifically for the youth! \nAthletes will race through Listuguj Mi’gmaq territory on the first day of the race\, so we hope to cheer on a team from Listuguj! The day will start off with a walk from the old Subway restaurant leaving at around 8:00 a.m. to the powwow grounds. \nWe are please to announce that our keynote speaker will be Elaine Kicknosway\, 60’s Scoop survivor from Denare Beach\, Saskatchewan. We will also welcome Theland Kicknosway who will present us with a hoop dance demonstration. \n\nMake sure to stay until the end to claim any prizes you may win. We’re also trying to reduce\, reuse and recycle our plastic waste\, so please bring your own water bottles to be refilled on site.

DESCRIPTION:On Monday\, July 1st\, residents of Listuguj\, Campbellton and Pointe-à-la-Croix will be taking part in a friendship walk across the JC Van Horne Bridge starting at 3:00 p.m. NB time.  Quebec residents will depart from the Quai Park (the small park next to the Provigo).  Both sides will meet in the middle of the bridge and head to the Restigouche River Experience Center for cake and refreshments.
