Elders Disbursement Update

The Listuguj Chief and Council authorized a one-time disbursement for Elders (65 and older) living on-reserve and within the surrounding areas. This financial support was issued by cheque and distributed by mail on April 7, 2020. This measure was taken proactively by Chief and Council as we awaited confirmation that the food bank would continue to operate given the social distancing requirements and our ability to access food supply.

It’s been brought to our attention that a handful of Elders did not receive their payment. If you’re an Elder (65 and older) and live within Listuguj, Point-à-la-Croix, Campbellton, Atholville, or Tide Head please contact us at feedback@listuguj.ca OR the LMG Administration Reception at 418-788-2136. Our office is open Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Please note, our offices will be closed for Good Friday (April 10) and Easter Monday (April 13).

Please note, you will be asked to provide the following information:

  • Contact information (legal name, date of birth, phone number);
  • Current mailing address.

If you would prefer to have your disbursement delivered through electronic funds transfer (EFT) please let our staff know and a member of our finance staff will follow up with you.

Additionally, we are pleased to announce that the food bank has reopened. Thank you to the RCVAA for your generous donation. Moving forward, in place of financial disbursements, the LCHS Food Bank is operational. For more information please contact the Listuguj Community Health Services (LCHS) at 418-788-2155, Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
