Beginning in 2008, the Reinvestment Strategy is a five-year agreement between the Province of New Brunswick and the Listuguj Mi’gmaq Government in which New Brunswick has agreed to commit half of the tuition fees to all eligible First Nations students. This allows services and programs to be provided to First Nation’s students to enhance their success.

School Cheques
This school year, there are changes to the distribution of school cheques. The cheques will now be given out twice a year – end of January and end of June. For the months of September, October, November, December and January, the school cheques will be distributed at the end of January. For the months of February, March, April, May, and June cheques will be released at end of June.
Parents and students, please keep in mind the total amount received per allowance is strictly based on the student’s monthly attendance.
2 unexcused absences per month = $0 per month
4 skips: “jigging” a class (es) = -1 day deduction

On Wednesday, May 29th, 2019, our first Bow Making Co-op course with our Listuguj high school students completed their bows, passed their aiming and are ready to do their write-ups with only 7 days left of school. We are very proud of the fine work these young men and woman put into the making of their bows. Not only did they accomplish this task but over the past several months (semester), they’ve achieved more than just the result of a fine bow in this process and for all that we are thankful.
This course would be similar to the one we, Enhancement, organized two years ago – Traditional Canoe making Co-op course with support of SSHS. Both courses are organized by Enhancement with support from SSHS in scheduling and allowing it to be part of the Co-op credited course.
Thanks to the instructor Ronnie Lexi and Enhancement assistant Derek Bouge.
