Ancillary (Support) Services
Ancillary (Support) Services are provided to students attending Alaqsite’w Gitpu School and local provincial schools. In order to receive these services, the student must be listed on our nominal roll.
The Nominal Roll is the registry of all eligible elementary and secondary students funded by Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC) to attend band-operated, or provincial schools.
To be eligible for funding the student must be enrolled and attend the recognized schools and be a resident on the reserve.
Students may access the following support services:
- Sneaker Vouchers: Vouchers are provided for parents to purchase gym sneakers at the beginning of each school year.
- School supplies: Vouchers are provided for parents to purchase school supplies for their children attending provincial schools.
- Student Allowances: Each student attending school, from Grade 7 to Grade 12, is provided with a student allowance. The student has to be under the age of 18 in order to receive the student allowance.
