The Listuguj Youth Entrepreneurship Program (LYEP) was introduced in 2018 to introduce youth to essential business skills and to grow their overall interest in entrepreneurship. Through workshops and hands-on experiences, the youth are exposed to various business topics and activities aimed at increasing their confidence in shaping their ideas into reality.

The program offers a mix between business development workshops, team building activities, learning from local entrepreneurs and fun outdoor activities such as swimming, kayaking, and sports. The program builds up towards offering “Market Days” where the youth work together to offer a market where they take orders, process payments, and prepare goods to sell. This provides them with a glimpse of the challenges and successes of operating your own day-to-day business. At the end of the market, profits earned by each session are divided among the youth evenly providing a chance to celebrate the fruits of well-earned labor.
