COVID-19 Vaccine Available to Listuguj Youth
Based on the efforts of Chief Darcy Gray, all Listuguj students will have an opportunity to return to in-class learning in New Brunswick. To ensure that our students are engaged in week-long in-person learning, LETE will be maintaining support services at the hub for students’ on-line learning schedules (A/B School Calendar).
The Government of New Brunswick has indicated that they wish all students, aged 16 to 18 to be vaccinated. We recognize the health benefit of such a position and, as a result, will be offering vaccinations to all Listuguj students aged 16 to 18.
Listuguj has been successful at securing access to the Pfizer BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine. The delivery of the vaccines will be coordinated through the Listuguj Community Health Services (LCHS) through their partnership with Quebec Public Health.
Two weeks following the date of the vaccine clinic, New Brunswick will permit all student to return to in-person learning according to their in-class schedules (A/B School Calendar)
Informed consent is an important aspect of any vaccination strategy. We encourage folks to consult their health care providers or health care professions at the LCHS. For additional information on the Pfizer vaccine, please review the attached Pfizer BioNTech vaccine information sheet.
